#### Why can't I install or update extensions from the app properly?
MIUI users (i.e. Xiaomi devices or related brands like POCO) often have issues with this.
1. Double check that your installer mode (in the app's Advanced settings) is set to "Legacy" if it isn't already.
1. Switch **MIUI Optimizations** under **Developer Settings** to **OFF** when installing extensions or updates to extensions. Alternatively, manually download updates from [here](https://tachiyomi.org/extensions/).
If the list of extensions doesn't load at all, try downloading them from [here](https://tachiyomi.org/extensions/). If that doesn't load either, try using a VPN as that likely means your network is blocking it.
