winterknight The showrev.sh script shows the tip, instead of the current hg revision. This can be mismatched if one were to use hg update -r ??? to revert to a previous revision. Patch uses parents instead of tip, which will show the revision that the source is compiled with, instead of the latest revision that the user who is compiling has downloaded.
