On `Windows` you need to install something like [`WSL`](https://blog.jetbrains.com/clion/2018/01/clion-and-linux-toolchain-on-windows-are-now-friends/) (recommended) or [`MinGW`](https://sourceforge.net/projects/mingw/files/latest/download)/[`Cygwin`](https://cygwin.com/install.html). Depending on which toolchain you chose, you need to configure it as the default toolchain in `CLion` under `File` -> `Settings` -> `Build, Execution, Deployment` -> `Toolchains`:
