Pwning Using Another iOS Device

Table of Contents
- You can use another iOS device that is jailbroken to put your target device in pwned DFU mode.
- This can be very useful if you do not have a Mac but have a spare iOS device on hand.
- This method can be used for 3GS, touch 3, A4, A6(X), and A7 target devices.
- In the picture, the iPhone 7 on the right is the host device where iPwnder Lite is installed and USB lightning to camera adapter is plugged in. It is jailbroken with Dopamine.
- The iPhone 5S on the left is the target device I will be pwning with checkm8, plugged into the iPhone 7 via the USB adapter with a lightning to USB-A cable. I have also placed it in DFU mode.
- On your host device, install iPwnder Lite, and follow the setup in the picture above
- Get iPwnder Lite from my repo: https://lukezgd.github.io/repo
- Install and open NewTerm or MTerminal on the host device
- Run the command
ipwnder_lite -d
- If successful, this will put the target device in pwned DFU mode
Notes
- iPwnder Lite should work on all jailbreaks for iOS 9 and newer.
- For iOS 15 and newer, iPwnder Lite is also tested successfully on palera1n and Dopamine.
- If your host device has a USB-C port (eg. newer iPads), use a USB-A to USB-C adapter instead of a USB-A to lightning adapter.
- Do not use lightning to USB-C cables, they will not work. Only use lightning to USB A cables.
