a1f72297e3 - fixed to launch wii, gamecube, and wiiware/vc games via wiigsc. note you should have wiiflow, these games, and their settings all set via wfl first. wiigsc is just a short cut to lauch wfl with args set to launch a specific game ID. 2024-07-15 15:22:41 -05:00

a0ef54af49 - fix for 'auto' game IOS option. in v5.5.4 'auto' causes the game to use a d2x cios base 38 if you have it installed, which prevents game from booting. this fix prevents this from happening. 2024-04-09 12:54:04 -05:00

7d4db44456 - added "auto" cios selection based on the games' IOS and d2x cios installed. only works for d2x cios. if you wish to use a hermes cios you can still manually choose 222 - 225. note if more than one cios have the same base the higher slot will be chosen. 2023-03-15 13:50:47 -05:00

363caf4794 - fixed sorting covers.
- added sorting by year released for all games. requires 'Reload Cache'.
- added playcount and lastplayed for plugin games.

B+PLUS to set sorting type (alphabet, playcount, lastplayed, players, and year. wifiplayers for wii games and game ID (1st letter) for VC games).
B+up/down to next/prev sorted item.
B on next/prev icons to next/prev sorted item.

c4b949acab - fix for issue #318. favorites and adult_only in gameconfig1 and categories in categories_lite will now use the platform name and game ID if using the plugin database files. if either the platform name or game ID are not available we will still use old method of plugin magic and game title. With new method if old plugin magic and game title is found it will be converted to platform name and game ID. because of this it is recommended to backup gameconfig1 and categories_lite just in case you have issues with new WFL and need to go back to old WFL.
Titlesdump.ini has also been updated to new method and will now include output of the filtered game list for plugins. Set [GENERAL] dump_list=yes before starting WFL. set it to 'no' when done dumping your lists.

a2c02143f5 - added the partition option to select SD and USB together. issue #325. BUT if you have the same game on both it will be shown twice. adding a check to see if the game is already listed for every time a game is added i think will slow down the process.
- added DEFINES for all internal plugin magics.

25a67d6539 - all checkboxes are now a single button. we just change the texture from off to on instead of having 2 different buttons and hiding the off to show the on or vice versa. shrinks wiiflow dol and theme ini's. for categories, source menu editor, and plugin select menu's.
- fixed wiiflow language setting. I must've broke it a while back.

6f6b3ec2d8 external_booter.bin fixes that i missed when i changed the booter in v5.5.0 beta 12 commit 9f7da43
- added missing *BI2 = 0x817E5480; to  Disc_SetLowMem() for wii games.
- added missing memcpy((void*)0x80001800, (void*)Disc_ID, 8); needed for debugger and ocarina cheats engine.

- fixed default setting for savegame emulation back to OFF (0). v5.5.0 and v5.5.1 new clean install's would set it to FULL (2) which caused wii games to crash on boot up. if you have this issue you can simply go to main settings>nand emulation settings and set it to OFF.
- changes to STexture::fromPNG() to hopefully clear up the out of mem issue when downloading and converting the cover png to a wfc cache file.

9f7da43da4 - beta 12 (external booter changes).
- fixed launching of real nand channels.
- fixed launching of forwarder channels, but some apps (ie. wiimcc and savegame manager gx) don't connect with USB devices. if they are on real nand use the 'custom' option in game settings for these forwarders.
- fixed launching HBC on real nand. don't know if its even possible on a emu nand.
- 480p pixel patch for nand wiiware/vc games no longer requires apploader setting ON.
- Exclude Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands and a few games that use MetaFortress from using 480p pixel patch
- added giantpunes returnto patch for channels just in case not using d2x cios. some reason it was missing.

- added 'no SSL only' as a private server choice (issue #217). this allows you to patch games on your own with other wifi server url's besides wiimmfi.
- added private server as an option for nand wiiware games.
- added 480p pixel patch as option for nand wiiware/vc games. seems to only work if apploader is set to ON. loading via main dol is broke for the time being.

1595356f59 - fixed the Source Menu page button when hiding buttons. the count was off by one so sometimes the page button said there was another page when there really wasn't.
- fixed a minor issue when changing a plugins rom dir but then exiting the source menu via B button without selecting a source, it wouldn't reload the current coverflow but now it does.
- now when you have only the front cover image wiiflow will use that platform's custom blank cover image for the spine and back of the cover.
- made source menu setup menu's more noticable when you switch from select a source to selecting a plugin and back. before it was hard to tell you had moved to a new menu cause they look nearly identical.

ee14187e2d - fixed missing cache covers for real nand channels if you add covers manually and do reload cache. Thanks blackb0x!
- fixed crash when pressing 1/x or 2/y buttons (change coverflow layout) when no covers are loaded.
- fixed hiding the wait loading animation when using source menu on start.
- fixed exiting source menu on start via B button so covers show properly.
- fixed using homebrew icon.png's with transparency as covers for smallbox by restoring some old code I didn't understand. But ... sometimes the icon.png textures (.wfc) are saved as empty black boxes.
- if you get an empty black box for your homebrew cover image you can select the cover and click the 'X' delete icon. it will not delete your homebrew app but will instead delete the cover texture file (.wfc). Then you can do reload cache and hopefully your cover will be fixed.
- tried fixing cacheing covers after downloading them. works sometimes. It's a low free mem2 error if using rhapsodii shima theme and having a lot of games. if covers do not appear after downloading then i suggest rebooting wiiflow and doing reload cache first thing or switch to wiiflow's default theme and then download the covers and then switch back to rhapsodii shima theme.

53a06c0f8d - fixed cacheing scummvm covers
- fixed setting scummvm cover's color via plugin
- now scummvm list is cached like all the other lists. but still does not use custom titles or titles from the plugins data xml.
- fixed the random bug where covers sometimes were not cached.
- fixed minor memory leaks via gametdb.cpp
- fixed an issue with using custom backgrounds via source menu.
- added the ability to move to next and previous game while on game info menu by using the controllers '+' and '-' buttons
- added the ability to launch a game directly from the game info menu by pressing 'A' on the controller.
- added the abilty to launch super smash bros melee via nintendont slippi. manually edit wiiflow_lite.ini by adding use_slippi=yes under [GAMECUBE]. google nintendont slippi and slippi project to learn about it.
- upped to version 5.4.1

27cbbbf8c0 - added option to have separate plugin categories and normal (Wii) categories in categories_lite ini. Normal categories go under [GENERAL] and plugin categories go under [PLUGINS]. Plugin categories will show when viewing plugin games and normal categories will show when not viewing plugin games. The only problem is when you combine normal games with plugin games ... the categories menu will show plugin categories only. I haven't got a solution to that issue yet. If you have your plugin games currently working with the normal categories then don't worry they will still work. you don't have to copy the [GENERAL] section and rename it to [PLUGINS]. 2019-12-18 09:39:27 -06:00

0d59191da9 - added 'use plugin database titles" option to pg 13 of main settings. defaults to YES. set to NO if you do not want to use titles from the plugin database files. All cached lists will be deleted to be remade with the new titles.
- added 'covers box mode' option to pg 13 of main settings. defaults to ON. set to OFF if you want to use only flat covers. does not apply to sourceflow, homebrew flow, and plugins with box mode set.
- fixed text size of category names on right half of categories menu. They were too small. strangely no one noticed or reported it.

7f5a8641ea - moved 'settings button' from main screen to 'Home Menu' and removed 'cache covers' from 'Home Menu' because it is automatically done after reload cache. So to get to main settings go to home menu and select Settings. a little extra step but its ok.

c33e07076d - code cleanup so custom banners and snapshots and game info snapshots all work nicely with each other.
- fixed source menu/flow to remember tier filenames and the last selected button from each tier. tier names and button numbers are saved in wiiflow_lite.ini under [SOURCEFLOW] so when you return to wiiflow everything will be as it was when you left.

b7024400cd - added frames for mini banner and snapshot image. wiiflow uses a blank texture so they are invisible but theme makers can now use [GAME/SNAP_FRAME] and [GAME/BANNER_FRAME] to add a frame texture. [GAME/USER4] is no longer used as a banner frame.
x, y, and width, height values suggestions for 8 pixel wide frame. if its thicker or thinner you will need to adjust.

1384e475b0 - snapshots are now centered to fit inside the mini banner frame if theme available. plugin snapshot changes:
[GAME/SNAP] is the snapshot. width and height are just random numbers. wiiflow sets those. and the texture is of course set by wiiflow. the x and y are the upper left and the only thing to worry about.

[GAME/OVERLAY] is the snapshot overlay for handhelds. same info as [GAME/SNAP]

[GAME/SNAP_BG] is used for 2 things.
1. the dimensions of the window inside the frame. (x,y,width,height) used so wiiflow can center the snapshot.
2. the texture of the window inside the frame. wiiflow has it set to a transparent image. but you can make and use a solid colored image if you like.

the frame is still [GAME/USER4]

13e65956fe - Plugin game list generator now gets rom title and ID from wiimpathy's plugins database files. a 'reload cache' will need to be done for each plugin source so the title and ID can be added to the current cached list. custom titles still work and will override plugin database files. titles are based on custom titles file then plugins database file and finally the rom filename. if the ID is not found in the plugins database files it will have an ID of 'PLUGIN' and no game info will be displayed on the game info screen.
arcade rom clones are not included in the plugins database files to keep the files short. Any arcade rom clones you have will either not be found or will aquire the same ID and title as the parent rom when the CRC of the clone rom is included in the parent roms list of CRC's. you will need to manually edit both the CRC list file and xml database file to include the rom info on any clone you have in order for them to display the correct title and game info. i would think only a small handfull of your roms would be clones.

reload cache may take longer now to create the cached list. I found zipped roms for snes, nes, and others are no problem because even if the filename can't be found the crc does not need to be calculated. it is merely taken from the zip file which already holds the crc. on the other hand, half of my gba roms are unzipped with a gba extension. so my gba list takes 10 seconds or so to make because the crc of the unzipped roms does need to be calculated. mame roms use the filename but if it's a clone then it will calculate the crc of the rom zip file. thus any clones will slow things down unless you add them to the database files mentioned above. I imagine megaCD and PS1 cd games will be slow to reload cache. but at least you only need to do it once or whenever you add or delete a game.

wiimpathy's database files use the no intro naming convention. i'm not crazy about it because it moves any leading 'the' to the end preceded by a comma. in this case i use custom titles ini to put the title the way i want.

a4968a91ac - now platform ini is loaded on wiiflow start. instead of constantly loading and unloading it. platform ini is now used for gameinfo, coverflows, blank cover titles, and more.
- fixed some missing cleanup when leaving wiiflow. in particular the pointer textures and closing the language ini.
- new way to handle the custom blank covers by Abz. blank covers now must go in wiiflow/boxcovers/blank_covers folder and must be named after their platform name via platform ini. they can also now be png or jpg.

90fd389aac - improved cover loader by adding 3 tries to load the covers. 2nd and third tries are there just to get any missing covers that didn't load the first time.
- homebrew list is now cached again. if you add or delete an app you must do a reload cache.
- if you use the custom blank covers by Abz they now need to go in wiiflow/boxcovers/blank_covers folder.
- homebrew covers must go in wiiflow/boxcovers/homebrew for full covers or wiiflow/covers/homebrew for 2d front covers.
- now using a cache subfolder named homebrew for homebrew covers wfc files. to keep them separate from the game ID games.
- sourceflow now does cache covers the first time and any time you load a new tier. if the covers are already cached then you will only see the progress bar for a split second.
- other minor changes.
- one problem. when using small_box for homebrew covers it will use the apps icon.png and if it has transparency it will look like crap.

f581b3f193 - added using platform ini to get the proper coverflow from the current coverflow ini. requires the updated platform ini and an updated coverflow ini.
- removed the hard coded sideflow and shortflow.
- fixed using custom backgrounds whenever returning back to the game selected screen.
- added custom background cleanup to free the memory used by them.

5dc8212037 - replaced homebrew button on main screen with categories button. new images thanks to Hakaisha. no more 'B' on favorites star.
- replaced adult only button on game selected screen with categories button.
- homebrew button is now restored as one of the quick launch buttons or accessible via source menu or plugin select menu.cpp
- adult only option now replaces the categories option of the game settings menu page 1 line 1.
- locking wiiflow no longer blocks homebrew access. you must use the adult only option for each homebrew app to block kids from accessing it.
- other minor code changes and fixes.

5407cfdf87 - added a fix for plugin rom game info when using a multi platform plugin, ie. genplusgx, wiimednafen, vbagx. if a multi platform plugin is detected then we get the rom's filename extension and use it to determine the platform. if its a zip file we get the filename from inside the zip file. this fix requires an updated platform ini which will be supplied with wfl v5.2.0 2019-02-25 06:09:46 -06:00

- added option to use theme subfolders for the backgrounds. put a folder named the theme in the backgrounds folders and put your images in it. these backgrounds will only load if using that theme.

3c888b4612 - fixed an issue with reload cache and the new plugin gameinfo database stuff. recreating the game list for wii/gc games would crash on getting the title of the game from wiitdb.xml because of a new check to see if the game is a plugin game.
- fixed the plugin game info overlays position.
- added spaces between multiple genres for plugin game info.

13585275ed - made some changes to the plugin rom info display.
- changed the font smaller.
- added developer:, publisher:, genre:, etc... before each item.
- made the rom info scroll-able if by any chance it doesn't all fit on the screen.
- made some adjustments to position of the images and fixed a little issue with setting the image texture position.
- need to fix the overlays for handheld consoles but personally i would rather just have bigger images and remove the overlays.
